The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting cooler and soon fall will be upon us. This means many of our favorite flowers have seen their prime and are starting to look a bit drab. Do you want to add a bit of color to your garden and add back some interest for fall? Try planting some Ornamental Kale or Cabbage. These can be planted in September and will survive the early frost. They actually develop more vivid color in the colder temperatures. Look for potted plants at your garden center that have well developed root systems. There are many varieties and colors to choose from.
